A Pragmatic Perspective on Hotel ColibríHotel Colibrí, nestled ideally between two beautiful beaches, offers a unique blend of comfort and convenience. During my stay, I appreciated the shared courtyard's charm, which creates a relaxed ambiance. The hotel's alignment with Hotel Rinconcito ensures access to their restaurant, where I enjoyed decent food and drinks, albeit not without some hesitation regarding pricing. As an architect from London, I often evaluate hotels not only for their aesthetic appeal but also their value. While Colibrí offered clean and comfortable accommodation, the nightly rates felt inflated compared to local and global standards. Having experienced accommodations in diverse regions, spending upwards of $100 Canadian for a basic room left me questioning the overall value proposition. On a practical note, amenities such as free Wi-Fi and an electric kettle were available, factors I always appreciate during my travels. The lack of more luxurious touches, alongside unaddressed maintenance issues within the room, detracted from the experience. While I cannot completely dismiss Colibrí, potential guests should weigh its offerings against their budget expectations, considering it falls short of luxury despite its location's undeniable appeal.
